You are a warrior. Do not back down...
As I sit this morning finishing my last cup of coffee and listening to the birds sing our I cannot feel anything but a strange sense of anticipation. I say it's strange because what I see coming is discomfort on a physical and emotional level, yet comfort on a spiritual level. Our eyes are not lying to us. Our ears are not delivering a false reality. Our common sense is not faltering. Yes, my friends, things are as bad and crazy as they seem. Most days I feel like I'm stuck in a lost episode of "The Twilight Zone" written by Serling with the help of the fellows from Monty Python. Yes, our "reality" has become that absurd.
Certainly I am not sharing with you anything that you don't already know and while tempted I will resist the urge to comment on the latest madness being brought forth in today's news cycle.
For the moment, for this moment, I wish to share the good news. As believers this all should come as no surprise. We saw this coming. It's been foretold and the signs are becoming increasingly clear just as the divisions between people is growing and the flames of discontent and deceit are leaping out of control, so to are we, as Christians, growing and our inner flame growing, glowing and leaping out to light the world around us. I will not sit here today and be Pollyanna about all of this insanity that is being foisted upon us. Our world has indeed descended into chaos and a cloud of deception has been cast upon the world and while things may seem out of control, and at times the darkness seems so overwhelming, the signs of the times are becoming increasingly clear for those who have eyes to see and ears to hear. We've been cautioned against false prophets claiming to know the time and place of Christ's return, so beware and be vigilant and stay true, but also do not be afraid to practice the discernment God gave you through His Holy Spirit and to admit and see the signs before you. I personally hold a belief that we are witnessing Bible prophecy unfolding right before our eyes day by day, but I will not spend time trying to convince you, dear reader. This is something that must be discerned on your own as you spend time with the Lord in prayer and conduct research and seek His understanding and peace on your own. There are so many reasons to be afraid. The evil one has given us so many opportunities to be full of fear and hate and agitation. And every day he conjures up more. Please, today, my lovely ones, know this in your heart... "Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double minded. James 4:7-8 NKJV
To navigate what is happening while maintaining our sanity and health cannot be accomplished fully without a direct connection to our Lord, Jesus. We must, daily, minute by minute, stay focused on His way, His truth, His light and above all else not succumb to the spirit of fear and deceit that we are being fed. It's so difficult, I know, as so much doesn't make sense and every day we wake to some sort of bad news being fed to us by media, corrupt leaders, and people around us who's spirits are broken due to a lack of connection with Christ. Please take the time this day and every day to immerse yourself in His word. Get to know Him and see and accept how is is working in your life and then share these truths boldly. Do not be afraid. Stop. Breathe. Reconnect. Recalibrate. Refocus. Do not give in, do not back down, do not retreat.
Resolve to look for the good and to find examples of Christians making a massive movements forward, fighting for you, for all of us. And there are many. I challenge you to find a video or a post or a news item that illustrates the living faith that you see and the rising wave of Christian fire sweeping our land. These examples are out there and while these stories are being suppressed by the powers that rule this world, they cannot be silenced. Post, share, comment and above all speak and share these truths in person with people around you.
See and feel the power of this movement and know its truth and scope. We know this to be true as we were told... "I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ." Ephesians 3:16-19 Add your voice to this fight. And do it now.
You are Christian.
You are a warrior.
You are invincible.
You know these things because Christ is in you and you are in Him. Do not be afraid. God bless.
